I love a sweater dress, make it cosy in the fall with a cardigan, warm it up with leggings in the winter!  I loved this grey one mixed with the suitcase purse and captains cat; I definitely felt like I was headed on a "Some like it Hot" adventure! 2019 (HOW TO HOST A BANGING PARTY)



I wanted to bring in the New Year with Good Food, Good Friends, and Good Fashion. 
So I filled my home with all three plus balloons and lots of Champagne. As you already know I love hosting, from cooking to entertaining there isn't one part of it that I hate. I pulled out all of my favorite pieces Flatware, Stemware, and Serveware alike to bring in the New Year surrounded by all of the things I love. 

1. BALLOONS! - Everyone gets into the party mood when balloons are present! They instantly remind you of fun and childhood freedom and celebration! AND they're cheaper than other decorations and fill up more space.

2. MUSIC - Have your google home hub readily available or Alexa so your friends can scream out the songs they want to hear, your google home hub also plays YouTube music videos so you and your friends can take a trip down memory lane with fun 90s music videos; OR have your speaker connected to bluetooth and pass around your phone so everyone has a chance to play DJ! You'll have a lot more fun if everyone gets to hear their favorite song!

3. FOOD!- Obv if people are drinking they NEED food, and when you're younger chips and dip is enough but by your late 20s step it up with finger foods. Grab some pre-made mini chicken sandwiches, make a cheese plate, and mini tacos, (I made these) and your guests will thank you!!! 

4. DRINKS- You wanna enjoy yourself and definitely don't want to be playing dj, caterer, and bartender all night, so by making your dining table the "hub" where everyone can serve themselves, you'll have a lot more fun and your friends can serve themselves food and drinks. Use a drink dispenser to make one batch of a signature cocktail, and then stock your bar cart with a few staple drinks like whiskey, vodka and wine, so everyone can make their own drinks!

5. TALK!- I know, I know, you wanna JAM and eat! BUT if you're in good company chances are there will be good conversation! and that means allowing the conversation to run! If people are struggling to speak over loud music be aware, lower it, let everyone talk and then raise it up again when the time is right! Thats one of the best parts of house parties- actually being with people you like and actually wanting to talk to them! 

6. LET LOOSE! - Have fun, don't take anything anyone says personal, take pics, dance like a child, and be safe. Life's long and fun if you're doing it right.

WAYS TO FEEL ACCOMPLISHED RIGHT NOW


It’s 2019, and everyone is scrabbling to feel accomplished and make goals! But don’t fret! There’s A LOT of small changes you can make day to day to feel accomplished. These are personally the things I do every week to keep myself on track when work is flow or I feel lost. Doing these small things make a huge difference and will make you feel like a grown up!


1. Start your Mondays right by sitting down and writing your goals for the week and writing down your plans.

2. If you have trouble staying healthy and not ordering grub hub *raises hand* planning your meals is really helpful. 

3. If you’re feeling uninspired and bored in your space, take the time to redecorate! Even if it’s just adding fresh flowers to your rooms, hanging some new artwork and just flipping your couch around; these little changes will inspire you make you feel brand new in your space!

4. Now this part can be scary but as a grown up we really should know where our money's going and now it’s being spent! Sometimes we feel out of control because of the LACK of money planning. By sitting down and checking your finances you’ll out your mind at ease.

5. As with financial planning make sure your bills are paid. Go over your bills and be sure credit cards are paid on time to avoid late fees that just add unnecessary stress!

6. Again this goes hand in hand with a financial plan. If you have more than five credit cards and you feel like you’re overwhelmed; sit down, list all your credit cards and how much you owe and make a plan to pay off your cards. Again, this will make you feel accomplished and give you something to look forward to.

7. Organizing your desk whether at work or home or anywhere that you use space in your life to work is very important to keep organized. This is where you get your best ideas, where you plan your future and it should definitely reflect the positive accomplished, goal oriented sense of self you’re trying to promote in your every day life.

8. Organizing your phone apps is not necessarily something you would think to do, or anything you think would actually make a difference in your every day life, but if you actually organize your apps by folder and even color coordinate them, (ridiculous, I did it) it actually makes you feel really accomplished; your phone feel clean and just makes you feel like you organized a part of your life that can sometimes be a little bit overwhelming.

9. Delete photos: hello, this is obvious! Delete all those dumb videos and hella selfies mija!! YOU DONT NEED UM!

10. Deleting apps makes you feel brand new! Clear up that extra space and get rid of apps you haven’t used in the past 2 months.

11. Deleting phone numbers is a great way to start the year fresh. If you don’t ever think of calling or texting the person- DELETE!

12. Again, delete all those emails that make you want to shop! 

13. And unsubscribe from all those *SALE* email lists!

14. Cleaning out your makeup makes you feel good but it’s also IMPORTANT! Your skin will thank you for keeping your makeup clean and fresh!

15. And I know we ALL HAVE crap in our medicine cabinets that is crusty musty and dusty!! Moisturizers with ONE drop left, serums that are 3 years old and masks that have dried out! (Included here are almost empty shampoos and never used body scrubs).

It's that time of year again, you know exactly what time I'm talking about. That short period of time when we all get motivated to shed our holiday food babies... Let's be honest we've been carrying these babies for far longer than just the holiday season! But 2019 is different we are going to get healthy and stick to it and even if some of us don't, at least we can look cute while running errands or walking into starbucks to order a frappe with extra whipped cream. Athletic wear has evolved and is no longer your typical oversized sweatshirt and tube sock combination. It's Athleisure; Trendy, Transitional, and sometimes even sexy. Here are a few outfits I adore, I hope these inspire you to look fine while getting fit.
